Unashamedly working towards more social inclusion for all young women.
We’re a bunch of girlfriends on a mission to change the way that young women
think and talk about money.
5 Things We Think You Should Know About Us:
We’re the first of our kind.
We recognise, because we’ve been there ourselves, that not everyone has access to financial guidance so we wanted to create an independent hub where our girlfriends could learn a thing or two about money. We’re the first Social Enterprise in the UK set up by female millennials to improve the Financial Literacy amongst young women under 35.
We’ve got huge potential to go further.
We’ve been working day and night to get the word out there on a shoestring budget and we’ve got off to a great start. In less than six months, we’ve featured in Stylist Magazine, been shortlisted for The Women in Finance Awards, invited to The House of Commons and spoken at a number of events including The London Stock Exchange, The CISI, Rothschild & Co and Investec.
We sound and look just like you.
One of the main reasons we set up MoneyGirl C.I.C. was down to the lack of relatability across the Financial Services industry. We wanted to create a refreshing experience for all of our loyal members who have been folowing our blog over the past year. We’ve teamed up with a number of kick-ass women to deliver a unique series of events.
Our Local Community is where it’s at.
We operate on a Cross-Subsidisation Model which means that the revenue we generate through our city events and corporate programmes is re-invested into community workshops for women from low socio-economic backgrounds.
We’re expanding the team.
We are looking for an extra pair of hands to help with Marketing, Blogging, Sponsorship and Events. Get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
MoneyGirl is changing the perception of Personal Finance for young women, regardless of their background. If you'd like to support this Social Enterprise journey, please get in touch. We'd love to hear from you!
